The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) recently premiered its fifth gospel movie entitled ‘The Pastor’s wife,’ produced by the RCCG national drama unit with technical support from Redemption Television Ministry, South Africa.
The chairperson of the event, Pastor Folu Adeboye, in her speech, commended the effort of the producers of the gospel movie and encouraged them to do more. She also urged them to achieve more success in the future.
The Head of Mangement, Redemption Television Ministry, South Africa, and producer of the movie, Pastor Bamisile Badmus, told Tribune Church that the movie was produced to inform and educate Christians on how to live as religious families and ways to settle family differences amicably without calling for divorce, as well as to portray the pains and difficulties pastor’s wives go through as they support their husband in the Lord’s vineyard.
Pastor Bamisile added that the main aim of producing the movie is to discourage divorce and correct the anomalies in many Christian homes. The movie will also help Christians to know more about the word of God.
The movie, a 100-episode series, will be sold on CDS plates but will later be viewed on RCCG Satellite Television before it will be aired on Nigerian Television.
According to the national coordinator, RCCG drama unit, Pastor Segun Adegbiji, the unit started in 1992 with the aim to support evangelisation through drama ministration. The RCCG drama unit had earlier produced four other movies entitled ‘separate us’, ‘the remembrances,’ ‘the wins’ and ‘the condemned.’
